Hi everybody!

Are you all getting excited for "The last 4/13"? (I mean... we said that last year too but hey) We are! Hopefully soon after the end of the comic, we can start releasing stuff. And we can all play Hiveswap, and really just all have a good time.

Sorry to say but there's not an incredible amount of news at the moment. Here's what there is to know though, since there are a few things worth mentioning.

Updates:

We've recently added legislacerat0r, hesperidia, and HelgaCrowl to the team! Respectively, they are a background artist, electronic musician, and storyboarder. That brings our team totals to 3 background artists, 4 story boarders, and about 7 people (1 by request) working on sound related jobs (besides voice actors). We still have only 1 animator, which is what brings me to update bullet 2. BTW, it's easiest to see our current team list on our Tumblr here (hsanimeproject.tumblr.com/team).


Though I've been posting for a while that we were working on getting the trailer/teaser out, it looks like at our current size and pace it is going to be postponed. We don't yet have enough animators, and our background artists have been working as hard as they can to get their parts done for our single animator (who's also pretty busy). In fact, a lot of us are just pretty busy (For example, I took two exams yesterday... College, right?). We are still working on this project, but since we are all volunteers it's a bit difficult. However, the more volunteers we get, the faster we can make progress! Please remember that if you'd like an artist position, it will be volunteer work based around your availability - and any availability you have is helpful!. Please remember that we accept amateurs to all our positions! Very few of us are professionals.

We have run out of super group membership. However, we can function pretty well without it (we lose a few features, such as some fancy widgets for the page, but we can live without them). If you feel like donating membership for our group for any period of time though, you're welcome to it! It makes our page a lot prettier and let's us do countdowns, etc.

As we are losing some momentum in regards to new member recruitment for the positions we currently need, I'd like to remind you all that sharing our project on your Tumblr/DA profile/DA group/MSPA forums/etc is incredibly helpful! By providing links and letting people know what we're up to, we can gather some traffic here (and each of those visitors could be a potential team member). If you aren't really interested in auditioning for a volunteer position, please consider sharing our project!

To make it easier to advertise our current events, we think it'd be fun to run a new group fan contest. In the past we have done poster contests, logo/title design contests, and a few other things. It seems from the last poll we ran (a supergroup feature, btw) that people were interested in another visual arts type contest. It might be interesting if we ran 2 contests consecutively, or with staggered end dates. I'd like to offer the opportunity for anybody who is interested in winning some neat prizes (ex free art or DA points, which anybody interested in judging would provide) to give some feedback on the fan contest ideas that we have, and maybe suggest your own!
At the moment, ideas include such things as:
- Another fake screen cap contest, based on the character designs we released
- Another poster contest, focuses on the events of Act 1, and based on the character designs released
- Another fake GIF contest, again based on our character designs
- A cosplay contest, based on the character designs (of course not the part where none of them have skin pigment. We mean the outfit part! Sylladexes, anybody?)
- A short notice 4/13 contest? Very easy kind, perhaps. Perhaps cosplay relating to the last updates.
- Etc
